AFMA’s Energy & Environmental Financial Markets workshops create an opportunity for all market participants to develop their knowledge of the Australian market, regardless of role or previous experience.

AFMA will offer a series of one day workshops in 2024 and 2025 that provide participants with an introduction to the Australian energy & environmental financial markets.  These workshops are designed for those who would benefit from an overview of the energy markets, those looking to enter the Australian energy markets, those working across the energy transition, as well as experienced professionals who are seeking to refresh their knowledge, or to further develop their skills in energy markets.

This newly designed workshop fills a demand to understand the foundations and contexts of this rapidly evolving market.  The workshop not only equips participants with necessary trading and market knowledge but demonstrates the linkage between the physical markets, navigating participants through the role of environmental and emerging renewable products, as well as the evolving nature of energy financial markets as we move through transition.

AFMA and Energy Edge have partnered for over a decade to deliver Electricity Derivatives training workshops to AFMA members. Energy Edge’s skilled and experienced presenters will deliver the in-person workshops, to allow for facilitated discussions and detailed Q&A. Each of the four sessions will cover the following:
